Uncovered the hidden energy in hands
in 1989

Prologue
Our mainstream health care model is built largely upon the contagion theory of disease and the suppression of symptoms, and therefore promotes medicines, surgeries and counter measures to defend harmful agents and their effects. People tend to neglect or refuse to spend time to connect or explore their own bodies because they are accustomed to depend on doctors and medicines which is the mainstream method to cope with physical and mental problems. Consequently, they have forgotten their innate healing ability and the instinct to sense warning signals sent out by bodies has gradually degenerated because it is no longer needed. Nowadays, the nature of health care is changing. People are seeking alternative approach to achieve health preservation and longevity.
Hsuan-Yin Hsu (also known as Shaun), with a resolute aspiration to help people maintain and acquire health and wellness from a naturopathic and holistic approach, has established Shaun Body Rapport School (S.B.R.S.) in 1989. The primary objective is to disseminate and practice a revolutionary study, known as meridian stimulatology. Meridian stimulatology has invigorated and well illustrated yuan qi (vital energy), the core concept of the traditional Chinese medicine bible, Huang Di Nei Jing. The perspective of S.B.R. S. intends to solve two major current health-related phenomena: the deficiencies in exercises and concerns towards invasiveness and medical wastes. It emphasizes the connection and coherence of body, mind and spirit which can be facilitated via the modality of Jing Luo Quan (JLQ). Literally translated, “jing luo” is the meridian system from traditional Chinese medicine and “quan” is fists. In another words, it means utilizing hands to physically stimulate on meridians to increase vital energy levels which is essential to the oxygenation and revitalization of bodies.
Jing Lou Quan and Master
Being the founder of S.B.R.S. and Bliss Association, Shaun has dedicated himself to disseminate this innovative self-healing practice, JLQ. Born in Chia Yis, Taiwan, the passion for Chinese medicine had run in his family for generations so he was brought up under such influence naturally. Graduating from Fujian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, his specialties are BodyMind coherence and meridian-oriented treatments. Tremendous amount of people have experienced and benefited from it. Being a cosmopolitan himself, he enjoys traveling around the world to share the wonderfulness of JLQ and importance of BodyMind balance. To make lessons more accessible to the public, many professional teachers are trained to represent him to teach at community colleges, corporations and wellbeing-related organizations.
Discovery
In 1989, Shaun had been suffered from bronchitis for three-month long. One night he was practicing an energy nurturing exercise under full moon. He first placed both hands in front of the center of the abdomen (sacral chakra) with palms up. Then, he elevated the hands to chest-high and flipped the palms over. Next, he continued to elevate the hands to the top of the head (crown chakra) slowly and held in that position. After practiced a few times, his hands were suddenly guided by the moon to hit on his body unconsciously. Approximately fifteen minutes later, his body was heating up and beginning to sweat. To his surprise, the experience was not hurting at all. His illness of bronchitis was even treated afterward. This miracle-like incident had a significant impact on him. Ever since then, he had started to spend tremendous amount of time to study the relation between meridian systems and corresponding syndromes and illness because he believed that human hands had hidden energy, waiting to be uncovered. By utilizing hands to physically stimulate (hitting) on meridians, one can release blockages of Qi and regain a balance of Blood and Qi which are essential to wellness acquisition. Therefore, this revolutionary healing practice is named Jing Lou Quan. |

as Head of Medical Advisor of Chinese Taipei Judo Association.

Jing Lou Quan and Meridian System The core concept of JLQ and meridian system was originated from an ancient Chinese encyclopedia called Huang Di (Yellow Emperor) Nei Jing. Chinese ancestors studied how their physical and spiritual states interacted with the nature. They discovered that body’s vital energy circulated through meridians that connected organs and corresponding functions. Despite the twelve major meridians, there are also many branches to connect them together (network-like) to ensure the circulation of Qi within one’s body. The balance between each organ is fundamental to wellness.
* Meridians and their branches are all connected together to sustain an enclosed movement of Qi, allowing it to nurture every single body part. |
|
Characteristics of Jing Lou Quan
The hands that are physically stimulating on bodies have a similar function as a portable heart, sending Blood and Qi to desired regions. In fact, blockages of Qi in extremities can simply be solved by using manipulation techniques such as hitting, pressing, or kneading to restore and maintain a balance of Qi.
* People at all age can practice JLQ to increase the circulation of energy. Even if you are not certain which meridian or body part to physically stimulate (hit), you can still relax stiffed and sore muscles and joints. |

Benefits of Jing Lou Quan
◆ Zero side effect
◆ Convenient and easy techniques
◆ Early prevention of illness
◆ Posture and physique adjustment
◆ Immunity increase
◆ Stiffed muscles relaxation
and lactic acid discharge
◆ Flexibility of joints improvement

Reminders
1. Create a quiet and comfortable environment when practicing.
2. Meridians are bilateral symmetry. Thus, one is recommended to physically stimulate
both sides to regain balance of Blood and Qi even if soreness or pain only occurs
on one side.
3. The rate of progress is strictly based on warmth, not ache. Avoid concentrating on one
particular spot or it might swell due to over-stimulation. Learners have to learn to switch
places, following the routes of meridians. Spend less than three minutes on each
meridian can avoid uncomfortable sensations.
Professional Relaxing Physical Therapy
Despite learning JLQ to achieve and maintain wellness on your own, we also provide treatment performed by professionally trained practitioners. During private treatment, these practitioners have to concentrate and gather energy in order to input energy into every part of receivers’ bodies to help them release pressure and stuck energy. Simultaneously, recipients have to cooperate with stretching, breathing and/or meditating techniques.
◎Evaluation: At the beginning, practitioners will converse and observe recipients’ physical appearance and posture to gather information of health condition and analyze conditions and functions of organs. Then, use the model of “Energy of Meridian Assessment” to assess the vital energy level and state for each meridian. When evaluating, one has to stretch and hold his/her hands or legs in certain ways. Then, a conductor would apply pressure on hands or legs to assess the level of strength, flexibility and stretchability.
◎ Treatment: The professional relaxing physical therapy is completely customized based on the evaluation result. In general, there are three stages: relax, release and restore.
* We all have self-healing ability. Syndromes are just signs of Qi deficiency in particular organs. The task of practitioners is to help you restore Qi. Once the energy level is adequate, the self-healing ability can be activated again. Therefore, practitioners will also instruct recipients simple exercises that can help them maintain wellness on daily basis.
